Zombie Cockroaches

We ran into a few zombie cockroaches this week. Seriously they will not die.

So this week we decided to change it up a little with finding people. And it worked! We had the best contact of my life. We were in Goodwill and there was an African American guy staring at us. I'm assuming because we were speaking Spanish. We (Hermana P) said she felt like we should talk to him so we went back and started up a conversation. He wasn't even black, he was Cuban! He was so excited to meet us and wants to come to church! We also went contacting at the pulga (flea market) It was awesome for people watching and we also met some really cool people there.
Our mission president has started a few new cool things lately to get involved in the community. One of them is church tracting. So basically you go into churches nearby and offer service. It's a little terrifying sometimes because you don't know how they'll react. So we went into this huge church and they ended up being super nice and said we could help out with their vacation bible school. We went and helped and they invited us back for some of their activities. She even prayed for us. Pretty sweet.
So we got back in with the less active and his nonmember wife again! They're so awesome. We talked to them a little bit about temples and stuff like that. They ended up coming to the tours outside of the temple last night. They loved it and she had a ton of questions! We are so excited to keep teaching them. So willing to learn and become closer to Christ.
This week I've learned so much about God's love. God loves every single one of his children.

1 Samuel 16:7 But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.

We can't ever judge another and assume that he or she wouldn't accept or be inspired by the gospel. God doesn't care what we look like or who we were or even who we are. He loves us always. Our present circumstances DO NOT MATTER. He loves us in our sins, struggles, and successes. We should give others that same love.

Con todo mi amor, Hermana Jorgensen
